Local Republican Discovers Quote About Trump Republican Voters Get Ragebaited
Tuscaloosa Republican spends decades searching for a lie, finds only the truth he didn't want

Greg Pellerin, 54 a conservative republican local of Tuscaloosa, Alabama said on Tuesday that he had finally found the explanation for a quote by Donald Trump after approximately 28 years that has been circulating online still to this day.
"If I were to run, I would run as a Republican. They are the dumbest group of voters in the country." according People Magazine.
Pellerin said he first saw the quote while scrolling on his Nokia 5510, somehow able to read it when no social media apps were even available, and immediately brewed something in his head, hating Donald Trump at the time.
Later, when Trump was elected on November 8th, 2016, he became enraged. He now, in 2026, thinks the quote was misinterpreted, although he said it verbatim, word for word. He spent his later years enthralled in rage at anyone saying Trump meant it, searching for any fakeness in this quote online before finally coming to the conclusion that it was fake and he was the only one correct along with his fellow Republicans and every Democrat and other political side was wrong.

"I mean come on," Greg Pellerin said. "It is everywhere. Are you telling me all these stupid internet trolls just made up the same thing?"
The quote has often been presented online as an explanation for why Donald Trump would choose to run as a Republican: because Donald Trump allegedly believed Republican voters would be easier to persuade.
For Greg Pellerin the reasoning was straightforward. A candidate Greg Pellerin said, it is just a joke in his eyes. Simply put, Donald Trump accidentally said it, and he has now forgiven him.
"I do not see what is so complicated about it," Greg Pellerin said. "He wasn’t even that clear about it. He’s obviously just joking around."
Greg Pellerin, who regularly describes himself as "the biggest conservative you can get without moving to Texas” said the wording of the quote did not bother him nearly as much as other people seemed to think it should.
His neighbor, Dale Miskin, 47, a Democrat, said to Greg that “he is 100% correct”,
Greg Pellerin agreed profusely, "exactly, see Dale gets it."
Dale Miskin later told us after filming this interview that “he is 100% wrong, how can someone be this delusional?”
By Tuesday afternoon, Greg Pellerin had posted a Facebook post saying that the Trump quote was false to his three followers, his dad, his mom, and a random person. We pointed out that this is just false information.
"Alright, maybe he said it, " Greg Pellerin said. "Is the idea itself wrong? That is what nobody wants to talk about."
At this time, Greg Pellerin has refused to talk any further and has filed a restraining order and moved on to researching another quote attributed to Donald Trump, this time involving the moon, tariffs and "a good deal for America."
